How to develop a game for a beginner

Gaming is the power of modern world. Everyone whether he works in game center or a CEO of a traditional multinational company like to play video games. There is a huge history of gaming. Besides playing the game, creating a game is also a art. There are many multinational companies whose business depend only on designing and developing the games.

I am writing this post for those who want to try to make a game. There are many software which provide you functionality to make a game only using drag & drop. I am discussing about a software named as Game Maker 8 to getting started with making games for beginners. You can choose any software but I selected this one because I also started developing games using this software. And I was very impressed from this software. I developed too many games. The awesome thing is that you can make both 2D and 3D games from this software.

In Game Maker 8 you can develop games using either from drag & drop or from coding. You can download this software from the link http://www.gamemaker8.com/ . So let's start-

Here is a screenshot of this software

There are lots of tutorials and examples of the games which can edit and run using this software. So you don't need to worry about being new in gaming.

I will give you a little intro to getting started with game Maker 8. The great thing is that there is also a pre build tutorial in this software which will learn you every thing about this software. Let's start

You can see following icons in the tool bar in this software.

The first option is Sprite which is used to select the look of your object (Object means a part of your game which has some characteristics e.g. a bike).
The next option is Sound which is used to attach the sound with your object or game.
The next option is background which is used to select a image as your background.
The next option is path which is used to give the direction to a object to move and for other things.
The next option is Script. Here you can write you code for your game.
The next option is Font which is used to apply a specific font for your game's text.
The next option is Timeline. Here you can control a timing functionality for your game(Basically for racing games).
The next option is Object. This option is the most important option. Here you can choose the properties of your object (like its movement and everything).
The last option is Room means the game world. You can place your object here to design a creative and interesting game.

For any problem related to game maker you can contact me. I will help you.\

Thanks :-)
